19th Century French Louis XVI Painted Buffet is a splendid example of the neoclassical revival of the late 1800s, all rendered from solid old-growth white oak to beautify your home for centuries. Wildflowers are framed by fine molded detail on the corner facades. The panels on the doors features complementary carvings that lead the eye down to the wonderfully crafted and embellished base. On the way, notice the exquisite relief sculpture of round cameos on each door. All of the carved detail is enhanced by the patinaed painted finish which provides stunning highlights and softens the overall visual impact. Ribbon and floral keyguards and drawer pulls complete the look. Measures 38" tall x 50.5" wide x 21" deep, c. 1890.
