"A Mouse, A Mouse!" Antique Fairing

Fairings are small souvenir china boxes and figurines that were sold at fairs during the nineteenth century. Most were made in Germany, much like this one depicting a wife cowering on top of her bed, and her husband comically crawling around looking for a mouse.  This one was found in England.
