A 19th century French provincial vaisselier, made of solid oak, with beautifully hand-carved details. These include Louis XV style carved paneling on the doors and drawer fronts, a shell at the shaped cornice, as well as other floral accents. The hutch has an upper body with two lockable cabinets that flank a central plate rack. Each cabinet contains three fixed shelves and can be secured using its key. The plate rack has three shelves, framed by shapely carved trim. The buffet’s base has a bombe front with three functioning drawers, each outfitted with incredible, wide, iron bail pulls, as well as two locking doors.  The interior doors and shelves have been covered in a French Provincial floral printed paper. Styled cut steel escutcheons surround keyholes. The doors are hung on barrel hinges. The skirt is carved with sinuous lines that continue down to the escargot feet.  This vaisselier contains its original shipping label from Paris and measures 88" tall x 62" wide x 24" deep, circa 1890.
