Found in the Normandy region of France, this dresser was the decorative focal point of a French Country Kitchen. The dresser is two pieces top and bottom. The top plate rack consists of open shelves, which would have held plates and crockery, and the bottom portion contains drawers along with a chicken coop where chickens, which have pecked away in the yard all day, would be brought inside at night, to keep safe from foxes. This piece has been many colors throughout the years, and the multiple paint layers have created a beautiful patina to this rare find. Measures 87" tall x 76" wide x 22" deep, c. 1920-1930.
